back to reality

Yes after a week off from reality or work whatever you want to call it it is back to the grind. This nice week ends on a good day my birthday and it was nice and quiet, had a great dinner at Lisa's and a nice relaxing time and I will end this time off with hopefully a good outcome on the MATH tonight. After last weeks tournaments I have climbed up a bit to 16th and hopefully upward from there.

Now last week overall was good. Didn't think about work, well not much anyway althougth the work laptop is next to me and plugged into their network but for the most part did an etch-a-sketch on the brain and relaxed. Got up at decent times to make the days last, did something around the house I meant to get to doing, ran some errands without rushing around. Now I could do this every dang day lol. But until I either hit the lotto or the final table at WSOP (both about the same odds lol) I will have to grind it out day after day.

Now on to the MATH.

bubble bursting hurts

Got in to the big game but only costs me 6 bucks for a 26 buck token turned into a 75 buck token but still bubbled the pts so will probably drop out of the top 20 and really want to climb back up , way up.

went over to the FTOSP to check on Hoy's play and railbird with everyone else. would love to see Hoy take it all

We'll see.

Newinnov just went out in 318, not bad in my eyes and probably way better than I would do. Cmitch sill in there on what he calls life support at around 24k but no so bad and anything can happen.

Cmitch made it to 215 but a nice chunk of change to leave with and Hoy is still going pretty good at about 6 hrs 20 mins into the tourny.

Hoy ended up at 101 with a nice take home pay just shy of 1900.00 not a bad day's work. Congrats Hoy.

Short and Sweet(actually sour grapes lol)

Short and sweet is how I like my girl but tonight was Short and no so sweet at the mookie tables. out within the first hour :( another dip in the pts. gotta turn that around. got bumped out by quad 6's , what can you do lol, what can ya do.

Ahh finally getting a vacation next week, not going anywhere but anywhere is better than work especially going into a long weekend with it :)

another Monday :(

weather is getting to be great here in North Georgia but this monday night in the MATH didn't match the day. Out in 27th, nursing a short stack, Had big slick and blinds coming up so just had to do it and went all in and ended up against KJ to Astin, slightly ahead but that went down hill fast with another hook on the flop and no improvement from there. Dang Jacks LOL. They seem to get me either if Ihave them or others have them against me. One day I will get them I tell ya LOL .

Got some money lol

Got into the Chasers/Bloggers tournament and I am shocked as all can be that I made the money in third woo hooo for me at least. I was way down early in the game and I guess patience pays, well throw in good cards at the right time and playing them well, I hope lol. Congrats to
ScarKnight for taking it all.

looong work week finally ended

Friday finally came after a 12 day, yes 12 day work week. Nice to move up the BBT leader board after the mookie up to 11th but still would like to get in the money again. After this extended work week and no plans tonight I got to blow off some steam with the donkament and we got some newcomers there that at first did not grasp our all out fun donkfest pre break we were doing. But they got the hang of it and at first looked like it might be rubbing them the wrong way but turned out to be fun. It is still going on as I write with the Mook and Numbersgame and shadowcard3 in the money and playing it out. Cheering for the Mook of course :) and with 78k in chips it looks like it will be his.... and it ends with the Mook winning . Good going Mookie.

Busted again

Still wondering why I can't even make the final on the WWdN lol. Out at 26th, oh well always next week and another 10 bucks.

Doing better...

but still no money. Oh well. Went deeper in today's match. went out in 17th so at least made it in the pts to hopefully lift me out of 17th place. Appropriate ain't it lol. Blinds were about to eat me up so went all in with K7 off to TFG's A10 suited, board paired up 5's so the A10 held up and I was out. Not the best hand for me to go in on but the best at the time when short.

There is always the mookie in a couple of days.

The Donkament

First time at Friday night Donkament and it was fun. It's crazy with everyone building the pool with as many rebuys as possible or willing to make. Did okay but no money which really is not that okay lol. My outster created the final table. I was drowned by the river this time. Straight to the eight beat my pair of ladies but it happens. What can I tell ya.

So this is blogging

Okay I finally decided to check out blogging since joining the blogger tournament on Full Tilt Poker. I have to say that the group in those games are made up of a bunch of great people and they've welcomed me in a good way.

I had thought that on the first game of the series where I came out of nowhere to them and made it to the final table and ending up chopping the pot amongst the top 3 that I might have kind set myself up as "who is this new guy coming in and doing this?" but they were real receptive.

When I first started I didn't even know it was the start of a series of game for a tournament. I had a google alert set for pokerstars as a key word since that dang UIEGA (i think that is the acronymn) act was signed by the Prez I wanted to see how things would develop. I got an email with that keyword to Katitude's blog where I learned about the MATH tournament and WWdN and others and even inquired to Kat if all are welcome to these games. I was signed on as countryk at the time. She pretty much said come on by and finally did on that first game of the blogger tournament and once I learned about this and the points factor (similar to Nascar scoring of which I am a big fan of) I said I may just stick around. Especially after checking that I didn't really have to be blogging to be there. Didn't want to seem like I was muscling in on the group.

So I figured I would try this out as well and see how it goes.

So far its been downhill since that first day LOL. So far I have made it in the money and final table twice and the pts a half dozen times but man I feel like a donkey at times but after seeing other good players, (Heck a few are going to the ME in WSOP), I don't feel to to bad. All part of the game of course, swings go high and low and bad beats come and go. Always been my attitude to the game. I don't whine or complain about things like you see on some other tables on either site. We've all had bad beats and been the victor of bad beats.

Well this is all I can think of writing for now as I explore this here blogging stuff :)
